A
  • TEMPORARILY adoprt a different identity where we act the same a a group because we want to share the same values and wish to be ACCEPTED
  • eg, someone may decide to become vegan because their friends are vegan but went away from this group they eat meat

  • a person genuinely accepts group norms as they have changed their opinions and behaviour
  • CHANGED BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE OPINIONS
