What is conformity?
Matching the behaviour and beliefs of others in order to fit in
What is compliance?
Going along with the majority even though you don’t agree
What did Milgram find about obedience?
Factors affect obedience such as proximity, legitimacy of authoritative figure
What is deindividuation
Losing your responsibility and self awareness as a result of being in a group

Guards became aggressive quickly

What is the bystander effect?
Not helping someone else because you believe someone else will do it
