aschs line experiment - method
- 50 male american students
- groups of 6-8 sat in a room with only 1 true naive participant
- naive participant sat towards the end of the group
- each confederate gave the wrong answer every time

variables affecting aschs line expriment - group size
asch varied the number of confederates in each group between 1-15. he found that relationship between group size and level of conformity was curvilinear. if there was two confederates conformity to the wrong answer was 13.6% when there was three conformity rose to 31.8%
