A

Deepest level of conformity.
Permanent change of beliefs to fit in with those around you.
Genuinely believe it.
E.g Jack becomes vegan after going to uni - when he’s at uni, when he’s home, all the time.

  • Shallowest level of conformity.
  • Doesn’t believe in it at all, doesn’t have any motive for conforming.
  • Just for the sake of it.
  • E.g Jackie moves in with her uni friends who are vegan. He is still friends with them but takes no action and doesn’t believe in it himself.

  • Going along with majority to gain approval, fear of rejection. May not necessarily believe in it or agree with it. I.e goes against morals.
