When does the social exchange process begin?

A

Begins when organizational actor or perpetrator usually a supervisor or colleague treats a target individual in a positive or negative fashion (Eisenberger et al. 2004)

Positive- providing support (Riggle, Edmondson & Hansen, 2009), justice (Cropanzano & Rupp 2008)
Negative- abusive supervision (Tepper,2000), Incivility (Andersson & Pearson, 1999) or social undermining (Duffy et al 2002)
