Define a family dysfunction family
Families may become dysfunctional if:
family member becomes stressed because of health problems
poor parenting skills
control other family members in aggressive way
neglect their children
Define parental divorce or separation
Divorce with negative outcomes leads to emotional problems affecting self-esteem and self-confidence, leading to moodiness and depression. Likely to experience poverty and underachievement in education and do risky behaviours
Define parenting styles
Authorative- not overly strict, brought up to respect authority and develop appropriate values
Authoritarian- Parents have high expectations and strict rules, children are rebellious and problematic
Permissive- No demands for their children and reluctant to implement rules. Lack self control and experience problems like managing relationships
What are the dietary restrictions
Jewish-protein deficiency can affect muscle and organ function and affect the elasticity of skin and weakened bones. Growth maybe delayed
Hindu/Sikh-Nutritional deficiency due to no meat and fish, calcium deficiency can lead to weakened bones and teeth, iron and B12 deficiency can affect production of red blood cells and protein deficiency
Muslim- Protein deficiency
