A

Accepts what they’re doing as right, but with the purpose of FITTING IN WITH GROUP.

A

Individual fully accepts the behaviour/belief of the majority group and adopts the belief into their own belief system, BOTH PUBLICLY AND PRIVATELY. PERMANENT.

A

Normative Social Influence. This is an explanation for conformity which states that people conform because they seek the social approval of the majority group. This may lead to compliance.

Informational Social Influence. This is an explanation for conformity which states that people conform to the majority group because they believe that the majority group’s viewpoint/behaviour is correct, so they accept it to be correct as well. This may lead to internalisation.
