elaborated= typically used by middle class.it has wider vocabulary and is based on longer more grammatically more complex sentences. restricted= typically used of the working class. limited vocabulary and is based on unfinished grammatically simple sentences.

collectivism is one of sugarmans ideas about working class. its where you value being part of a group and fitting in rather than educational success. an example of this could be skipping homework to make time to go to rugby practise
