It is similar to the basic closed position, with the exception of the placement of the feet. Here, the female partner’s feet should be to the left of the male partner.
Outside Left Position
- It is now considered as a competitive ballroom dancing. Is a combination of art and sport. It provides avenue to gain discipline of the body and mind of the dance athletes.

Both partners face the same direction instead of facing one another. Their bodies form a sort of “V” shape
