What is social action theory?
People coming together to help improve their lives and solve the problems that are important in their communities
Give an example of how social action theory has changed sport and society
Sexism has become less prominent in education, Sport and the home. Women are now allowed to take part in all sports, are not expected to stay at home and commonly attend university or higher education.
What is the interactionist approach
The study of how individuals behave within society. It is a theoretical process which stems from social processes.
Interactionism works from the individual towards society and stresses the fact that it is people who actually create society.
