A

It talks about how Sesame Street is being played in different countries, but those countries are adapting the show so it shows more things that those kids can relate to.

What happened with the Lubicon Cree and the USA?

A

Trade with other countries stopped with the us and the resources they were no longer getting were on Lubicon land. Since the Lubicon Cree never signed treaty eight they technically didn’t own the land. Their land was then exploited so they couldn’t continue their tradition way of life.

Through learning a different language one absorbs the collective identity.
Translations are not always correct or easy.

Fox News owns most news in the USA

A

The reports are biased because they are all coming from one company.

What does the CRTC do?

A

The monitor how much Canadian contact we are exposed to in the media.
Protect Canadian culture by making sure a certain amount of Canadian media is shown.
Protect us from homogenizing with the USA government.
