cant be offside when on your own side
considered offside when behind last defender before ball is there
only offside when put into play, you can just stand there

defensive line steps up at last second to make other team offside
you get free kick if it works but if the ref misses the call you might be in trouble
what is a direct kick
when a goal can be scored from the kick and no other player needs to touch it first
what is a indirect kick
a player has to touch the ball before it can go into net
when is a direct kick awarded to you
if a player:
kicks another player
trips another player
jumps at someone
charges at someone
hits someone
tackles an opponent to get the ball, making contact with player before touching ball
handles ball deliberately
when is a indirect kick awarded to you
when a player:
makes a dangerous play
using body to block a player from moving where they want
preventing goalie from releasing ball
unsportsmanlike conduct
poor language
unintentional ball handling
when is a penalty kick awarded
when a opposing player commits an offence for a direct kick inside his own 18 yard box while ball is in play
what happens during a penalty kick
ball is shot 12 yards from goal line
all other players stand outside of 18 yard box when shot is taken
after shot, all player can move/touch ball
corner kick
kick taken from corner closest to where is went out
awarded if opposing team kicks ball over the goal line
you can score directly
goalie kick
taken from six yard line
any player on defensive team can take kick
ball must go oout of 18 yard box before players can touch it
if it doesn’t go out, kick is re done
awarded to team when opposing team kicks ball out of goal line
kick off
taken from centre mark of field
used to start and restart game after half time and when goal is scored
must be kicked forward on initial touch
a second player has to touch it before kicker can again
