Q

How to plasmodial slime molds reproduce?

A
  • Formation of sporangia occurs, then meiosis and then spore production.
  • Spores disperse into new single celled amoeboid cells.

Q

Give a summary of Cellular slime molds.

A
  • Live mostly in single celled amoebae
  • Aggregate into a ‘slug’ that can migrate when food is scarce.
  • They reproduce by creating a stalk that fruits and bears spores which disperse.
