what does the FWS provide?

what components make up the FWS? (9)
- 2 modules, 1 in each of MFC 1B and 2B
- 2 core processing modules (CPM) 1 located in CAC 1 and 2
- 6 input and output modules, 3 in each CAC
- 2 switch modules, 1 in each CAC
- 2 EFIS control panels
- 2 master warnings
- 2 master cautions
- 1 emergency audio cancel switch
- 1 T/O config test switch
what is the FWS managed by?
2 Flight warning applications (FWA)
where are FWA 1+2 located?
in their respective CAC
What is the flight warning detection sequence?
Detection: Aural/visual alert
Identification: Alert message on EWD
Isolation: system panel
are local alerts independent of FWS?
Yes
what causes a level 3 warning?
- serious system failure
- unsafe config
- limits being exceeded
what causes a level 1 advisory?
loss of redundancy or system failure requiring crew monitoring
how does the crew control the EWD?
EFIS control panel
how do we activate a boxed procedure?
V push button on EFIS panel
what is the recall button used for?
to recall messages or scroll through messages on EWD
what does the CLR button on the EFIS control panel do?
clears EWD messages that can then be recalled
what level 3 warnings are inhibited during T/O?
engine oil and smoke
