How do you treat Acne Vulgaris?
Reduce bacterial count, decrease sebaceous gland activity, prevent the follicle from becoming inflamed. Orally administered antibiotics and antibacterial solution applied to the skin.
What is Acne Vulgaris?
An inflammatory disease of sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Characterized by comedomes, papules, and pustules.
What are the signs and symptoms of Acne Vulgaris?
Open or closed comedomes, rupture of the acne plug, inflammation, and acne postures; scars of chronic irritation continues over time.
What are the diagnostic procedures to diagnose Acne Vulgaris?
Medical history and observation of the lesions
What is urticaria?
Raised localized area of skin. Inflammatory reaction. Frequently follows ingestion of certain foods or allergic reactions to insect stings or sunlight exposure.
What are the signs and symptoms of urticaria?
Pale raised wheals on the skin possibly surrounded by erythema; intense itching
What is the treatment of urticaria (hives)?
Antihistamines (benedryl) epinephrine, hydrocortisone creams and lotions.
