- -> Outcome: Delegating, supporting, coaching or directing
• Leader should match his style of leadership and the goals to archive to the competencies of his followers (development level)

Strengths: • high practicability, used in many companies • prescriptive value, tells what to do • emphasizes flexibility • threats every follower differently
Weaknesses:
• assumptions are not proven
• demographic, gender characteristics are not included
• development level of group/individual is hard to measure
