What would you do if a manager asked you to perform a task you’ve never done before?
That’s happened before, I try to just ask for as much clarity as possible and an example if needed because we have fast deadlines with clients and I don’t waste time so once I have a good understanding then i’m good to go. I remember I had to do a page view entrance analysis along with my research and recommendation deliverable for Atrium and my manager and I worked on it together and the next time I had to do it, it went well.
What would you do if an angry and dissatisfied client confronted you? How would you resolve their concern?
Just try to understand where they’re coming from, their concern and how they would like for us to proceed. If it’s something we did then we just acknowledge that, apologize and work with them resolve it. We try to have the best relationship possible with our clients.
If you’re working under a tight deadline and don’t think you’ll be able to make it, what would you do?
That’s happened before, I try to make sure I manage my time really well, however sometimes projects can take longer than expected and I just try to let my manager know if I need more time and let the client know way ahead of time that we’ll need an extension.
What would you do if you and your manager disagree on how to approach something?
Well the good thing is that I had pretty good communication with my mangers and they would always say if I had another recommendation on how to do something differently then I could do that and then we would walk through it after together. I can’t think of a specific instance where I had to persuade them, they allow for me to bring my ideas to the table and run with it and we review, what we think works and what we don’t and we just try to have good communication.
