[This is because Nagra said ‘you can’t translate the beauty of one language accurately into another’, so he instead used form of punglish to ‘capture the spirit of what they were saying. ]

  • However it also sets up a secondary relationship between a father and a son, which is clearly strained.

  • as she has a ‘Tartan sari’- his wife is wearing a mix of clothes from different cultures + it seems that the speaker accepts + embrace this element of his wife who has a ‘tummy of a teddy’ and tiny ‘eyes of a gun’ which shows how the wife is multi-faced, because she is sweet and fierce.
  • The juxtaposition of these descriptions, suggests he appreciates the different parts of his wife’s personality.
