Original sin
A
- Adam and Eve were told by God to not eat the fruit off the tree of knowledge. However, they were tempted by the serpent (devil) to eat the fruit, believing they’ll be like God ( the Fall)
- They sinned from eating the fruity off the forbidden tree so God punished them by removing them from the Garden of Eden.
- This created a barrier between God and humans.

Why is it important?
A
- Sin separates God from humans so humans should obey God as much as possible.
- Temptation should be avoided.
- God sent his, “One and Only son” so the barrier is broken. Shows unconditional love.

- Sin is within us.
- Serpent represented as the Devil.
- Incarnation and crucifixion of Jesus symbolises the break of the barrier.
- God offers salvation for eternal life with him.

- God will never abandon humans so it gives comfort to Christians.
- Be aware of how easily humans can fall to temptation.
- God loves unconditionally so he will not punish us for an eternity.
