Bouth operate continuously but only one in control
The engine can continue to operate as long as
• 1 of the ECU is receiving power command
• 1 of the crankshaft position sensors is good
• The fuel rail control valve is functional
NOTE: all these items except fuel rail are redundant
If FADEC detects an engine out condition
Automatic Engine Relight will energize glow plugs & command 50% throttle for an attempted engine restart.
