Can you tell me about your background and what led you to be interested in the position?
My background is a mix of accounting, finance and technology. I started by studying accounting at university which gave me a good understanding of financial statements, management processes and regulations.
Then, I chose to study computer science and software development to have an overview of the IT function and develop skills in programming and database management.
Finally, I studied business technologies to understand how information systems support management processes and data analysis.
It was in my ERP implementation and configuration courses that I learned to use SAP and its crucial role in the integration of business processes and that’s why I want to become a SAP specialist.
So with my varied skills and my interest in developing expertise with SAP, I was confident that I could add value to your teams.

What attracted me to simplefi was your expertise in analytics and financial planning with SAP.

What type of work environment motivates you the most?
An environment in which I can share my ideas and continuously learn and work on projects with real impact motivates me a lot.
Do you prefer to work in a team or alone?
I like both equally, because they have their advantages. Working in a team allows you to exchange ideas, learn from each other’s expertise, and solve problems as a team. Working alone is better if the task is more technical or analytical and requires concentration.

How do you handle pressure and tight deadlines?
I manage them by staying organized and prioritizing my tasks effectively. I like to break down work into clear steps to move forward in a structured way and avoid being overwhelmed.
Maintaining good communication with the team to adjust priorities as needed is another way.
I had to assist the payroll manager in completing the processing before the Christmas break, as the banks were closing. To stay efficient and meet the deadline, I applied my technique mentionned before.
where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years?
I see myself growing into a SAP expert role where I could bring together my expertise in technology, analytics and business process management. Taking more responsability in the company

Transforming complex data that helps companies make informed decisions and automating repetitive tasks to improve the efficiency of information systems
How do you organize your priorities and daily tasks?
I make a list based on deadlines and importance of each one. I classify them according to their urgency and impact and I keep time for unforeseen or urgent tasks. I use a calendar or TO DO from Microsoft
How do you react to constructive criticism?
They are an opportunity to learn and improve. I take notes and find ways to improve.
How do you handle conflicts or disagreements with colleagues?
I favor an open and calm approach. I listen to the other’s point of view and their concerns. I strive to remain as respectful as possible and maintain clear communication.
What is most important in a job for you?
A company with a good organizational culture where communication, respect and collaboration are at the heart of interactions

I had difficulty delegating because I wanted to be sure that the work was done well and met expectations. I changed my mindset by setting clear guidelines, providing support when needed, and trusting my team members’ abilities.

Tell me about how you dealt with a tough challenge?
In one of my university courses, my team and I were tasked with building a full-stack application using technologies we hadn’t been taught. We decided to break the project into smaller tasks and watched a lot of tutorial videos to learn how each technology worked. In the end, we successfully completed most of the requirements, and for our level of experience, we considered the project a success.

Because of my combination of technical and financial skills, I believe I can contribute effectively to SimpleFi. My experience with accounting, SAP S/4 HANA, business analytics, and database management will help me support the implementation of financial and analytical solutions.
I’m also quick to learn new technologies, as shown in my university full-stack projects, which will help me adapt to SimpleFi’s challenges.
Additionally, I’m preparing for the SAP TS410 certification, which will further deepen my knowledge of SAP and enable me to apply best practices more effectively.

Tell me a time when you reached a goal
One time when I reached a goal was during a university project where I developed an API for the Montreal Food Safety Information Platform.
The goal was to create an easy-to-use API that would allow users to access public data on food inspection violations in the City of Montreal.
I had to work with Python, SQLite3 and other technologies, and my collegue and I set clear milestones to ensure we met the project requirements.
Despite the challenges of how to use more deeply some of the technologies along the way, we were able to successfully complete the API, which met the objectives and provided the functionality we aimed for.
This experience taught me how to approach technical challenges, manage my time effectively, and achieve project goals through careful planning and collaboration

In my current role as an Accounting Technician at Maison Le Grand, I am responsible for managing accounts receivable, processing credit notes, issuing customer credits, and preparing bank deposits.
This experience has strengthened my attention to detail, financial analysis skills, and understanding of business processes.
