Baby turns head and open moth ready to feed when its cheek is stroked
What is the sucking reflex?
Baby sucks on a finger (or mother’s nipple) that is put in its mouth
What do adults also display?

The ‘knee jerk’ when the leg straightens if the knee joint is struck beneath the knee cap
Dropping a hot object when you grip it
Blinking when an object comes close to your face
