Q

Describe what happens throughout the process

A
  1. The water heats up and boils (at 100 degrees), leaving the salt behind
  2. The water vapour passes the thermometer at 100 degrees and enters the condenser
  3. In the condenser the water vapour condenses to liquid water. This happens because cool water cools the gas turning it to a liquid
  4. Pure water leaves the condenser as a liquid and goes into a beaker/conical flask
