Definition of similar shape

A

Similar shapes are exactly the same shape, but can be different sizes. They can also be rotated or reflected.

There are three special conditions for triangle - if any one is true, you know that they are similar.

List the 3 conditions.

A

All angles match up (i.e. The angles in one triangle are the same as the other)

All three sides are proportional (i.e. If one side is twice as long as the corresponding side in the other triangle, all the sides are twice as long as the corresponding sides.)

Any two sides are proportional and the angle between them is the same.
