- Burning sensation when urinating
- White, yellow, or green discharge from penis
- Painful or swollen testicles
- Rectal discharge
- Anal itching
- Anal soreness
- Anal Bleeding
- Painful bowel soreness and bleeding
Most pharyngeal infections are asymptomatic

Most are asymptomatic
- May have urethritis
- Urethral discharge
- Pain or burning sensation when urinating
- Rectail pain or discharge
Hepatitis Symptoms
All types of viral hepatitis are similar, however not all newly infected persons show signs of illness. If symptoms:
- Fever
- Fatigue
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Clay colored bowel movements
- Joint pain
- Jaundice
Syphilis Signs and Symptoms - Primary
- A single sore (chancre) or multiple sores
- Chancre is usually firm, round, small, and painless ulcer or chancre at the infection site
Syphilis Signs and Symptoms - Secondary
- Rash on one or more areas of the body
- Rash appears as rough, red, reddish brown spots both on the palms of the hands and the bottoms of the feet
- Fever
- Swollen lymph glands
- Sore throat
- Patchy hair loss
- Headaches
- Weight loss
- Muscle aches
- Fatigue
Syphilis Signs and Symptoms - Early Latent
None. A positive serologic test for syphilis is the only evidence of infection during latent syphilis
Early latent syphilis - infection less than 1 year
Late latent syphilis - infection one year or longer
Syphilis Signs and Symptoms - Tertiary
Can be asymptomatic
- Cardiac or opthalmic manifestations
- Auditory abnormalities
- Gummatous lesions
Syphilis Signs and Symptoms - Neurosyphilis
- Cognitive dysfunction
- Motor sensory deficits
- Opthalmic or auditory symptoms
- Cranial nerve palsies
- Symptoms and signs of meningitis
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Signs and Symptoms
Within a few weeks of being infected with HIV, some people develop:
- Fever
- Fatigue
- Generalized body rash
Other signs and symptoms include:
- Headache
- Swollen lymph glands
- Sore throat
- Feeling achy
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Night sweats
