Side Effects Flashcards
Adenocard (adenosine)
most common are facial flushing, SOB, chest pressure. Transient cardiac conduction rhythms. Sense of impending doom
ACE Inhibitors
hypotension, cough, vertigo, HA, fatigue, dizziness, angioedema. May increase Lithium toxicity
Adrenalin (epinephrine)
palpitations, tremors, anxiety, headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, chest pain, hypertension, tachycardia, cardiac dysrhythmias
Amiodarone (cordarone)
hypotension, anaphylaxis, anemia, arrhythmias, hypotension. Extended use may cause hepatic and/or renal failure
Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid)
stomach irritation=nausea/vomiting, GI bleeding, diarrhea, hepatitis, anaphylaxis, bronchospasms, angioedema
Atropine Sulfate
if given too slowly or not enough, may cause paradoxical bradycardia, increase cardiac workload, dry mouth, facial flushing, causes pupillary dilation
Beta blockers
bradycardia, hypotension, tiredness, dizziness
Calan, Isotopin (Verapamil)
severe hypotension, bradycardia, heart blocks, asystole, aggravation of CHF, IV calcium is antagonist
Calcium Chloride 10%
