Failure of conservative treatment
Acute traumatic tear in an active patient younger than 50
PAIN +/- Loss of function

Arthroscopic - for impingment issues,
Arthroscopic or mini open
Open for full thickness tears of rotator cuff
Tranoseous rpair of rotator cuff tendon is?
Open surgery where a trough is created in prox. humerus just lateral to articular surface. Sutures are tied over the bone bridge to greater tuberosity
WHat are the phases of Acromioplasty rehab for the shoulder
Phase 1 - first 2-3 weeks after surgery
Phase II - 3-6 weeks after surgery. Strengthing, ROtator cuff musculature and scap stabiliser strengthing
Phase iii - 9-12 weeks. Goals: enhancing kinesthesia and joint position sense, building endurance, strengthing scap stabilisers and perform work specific and sport specific tasks
