Triceps

A

PA: -Long Head = Scapula at infraglenoid tubercle, blends w/ GH capsule

  • Lateral Head = Narrow oblique area on post surface of humerus, superior to spiral line and lateral inter muscular septum
  • Medial Head = Large area on post surface on humerus, inferior to spiral line and medial inter muscular septum

DA: By common tendon to olecranon process on ulna

INN: Radial (C6,7,8)

Actions: -All Heads = Extend the elbow
-Long Head = Also adducts the humerus

A

PA: -Long Head = Scapula at supraglenoid tubercle & to glenoid labrum
-Short Head = Apex of Coracoid process (not associated with GHJ)

DA: By flat tendon to radial tuberosity, by bicipital aponeurosis which blends w/ antebrachial fascia

INN: musculocutaneous N. (C5,6)

Actions: -Flexes the elbow and humerus
-Primary supinator of the forearm
