3
Q

Order release from planned start times characteristics?

A

Simple to apply, requires little resources
Start and due time epresent actual demand points =>basis for prioritising in the workshop
Capacity not considered=uneven workload=varying throughput times

Q

Order release from planned start times environments to be used in?

A

Smooth workload
stable demand
large capacity compared to production volumes or high volume flexibility
Short throughput times and small order quantities

5
Q

Regulated order release characteristics?

A

More complex and timeconsuming, requires advanced system support
Results i smoother workload, stable throughput times and fewer queuing problems
important to keep capacity requirements updated

Q

Regulated order release environments to be used in?

A

Uneven capacity requirements
long throughput times
simple bill of materials and few operations

7
Q

Input/output control characteristics?§

A

Simpler than regulated order release
still provides a smoothening of the workload and throughput times.
Start and due times represents actual demand points=>work as a basis for prioritizing in the workshop

Q

supervisor managed control characteristics?

A

Simple to use and has a positive effecct on the motivation of the workshops personnel
often focus on factors like setup time & throughput
less focus on material requirements

Q

Purpose of labour reporting and final reporting?

A

Follow up on released orders, handling potential deviations from plan.
Updating resource avaliability
Supplying information on real resource consumption, to match what was planned

Q

Explain drum buffer rope principle?

A

Drum=what’s setting the pace
Buffer = Inbound buffer is placed b4 bottleneck to make sure it’s never starved.
Rope = what’s sending the signal in the system, kanbam etc.
