A

Electric and belt driven.

Electric fans can turn on even when the vehicle is off, so they can be potential pinch points/rotating equipment.

Note: pull the battery terminals off when working on this equipment.

  • disconnect the negative battery
  • keep sparks away
  • always be cautious
  • have a fire extinguisher nearby and updated at all times
  • use special lights (use LEDs or cooler running fluorescents)
