“Mummy” and uses a lot of personal pronouns to highlight her selfish and childlike attitude
As the play progresses she addresses her mum as “mother” reflecting a change and she doesn’t feel as intimate with her mother as she once did and she’s lost respect for her mother.

A

Sheila used irony to show how appalled she is with her parents attitude and how she disagrees with it. “I suppose we’re all nice people now”
Sheila is used by her irony to show the tension exsisting between the younger and older generation
