Sheila Flashcards
Representing her innocence and lack of maturity- we can see her to go on to the rether to the woman who gave birth to her as ‘mother’ later in the play
“Yes, go on, Mummy”
Sheila already seen to be challenging her father
“But these girls aren’t cheap labour- they’re people.”
Sheila learning and realising they are all moraly wrong for what they have done to Eva
“I suppose we’re all nice people now”
Shows the inequality in society- just because someone is pretty and born into an upper class they have their whole life sorted
“A pretty girl in her early twenties, very pleased with life and rather excited”
Wishing she could do differently- contradictional- some may argue she is trying to be apologetic others will argue she is trying to ease the situation
“And if I could help her now, I would-”
