Q

Formula to find the energy needed
(And units and simplified version)

A

Energy needed = mass x SHC x temp. Change
🔺E = mc🔺(theta(actually temp change))
J, Kg, J/Kg degrees C, degrees C

Q

5 steps to use the gradient to find the SHC on a graph

A
  1. Find two far away points on your line (LINE NOT THE POINTS)
  2. Make into a right angled triangle
  3. Find the change in y and change in x using the SCALE
  4. Gradient = change in y/change in x or
    y2-y1/x2-x1
  5. Gradient = 1 / mc ~> c= 1 / m x gradient
