O Vatsa (dear disciple)! Listen, Vayu (air) is the most powerful and all-pervading force in the body.
It is responsible for the movement and functioning of all body parts.
When Vayu gets vitiated (vitiated Vata Dosha), it leads to various diseases.
Therefore, treatment should focus on pacifying Vata using nourishing (Bṛṃhaṇa) and opposing (Virodhī) therapies.
