Q

AYURVED PRAYOJAN

A
  1. “स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्यरक्षणं आतुरस्य विकारप्रशमनं च।”

Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam – To preserve the health and well-being of a healthy individual.
Aturasya Vikara Prashamanam – To treat and cure diseases in a sick individual.

  1. धर्मार्थकाममोक्षाणामारोग्यं मूलमुत्तमम्

Health (Arogya) is the foundation for achieving Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kama (desires), and Moksha (liberation).
Diseases (Roga) are the obstacles that destroy both success and life’s ultimate goal.

  1. Sushrut

O Vatsa (dear disciple)! Listen, Vayu (air) is the most powerful and all-pervading force in the body.
It is responsible for the movement and functioning of all body parts.
When Vayu gets vitiated (vitiated Vata Dosha), it leads to various diseases.
Therefore, treatment should focus on pacifying Vata using nourishing (Bṛṃhaṇa) and opposing (Virodhī) therapies.
