Single continuous line can cross
to enter a road or property
Single continuous line can’t cross
to overtake or make a U-turn
The line that applies to you (e.g theres a continous and broken line in the middle)

Only exception to be able to cross a double continuous white line
if there is an obstruction and it’s safe to do so
Broken white lines
You can turn, overtake and U-turn

Wide centre lines
provide extra room between vehicles driving in opposite directions to help reduce risk of a crash
Wide double continuous lines use

You can drive across an edge line if you’re
avoiding an obstruction, overtake a vehicle indicating to turn right, driving a slow-moving vehicle, entering or exiting a road, riding a bicycle, or stopping your vehicle
You can travel in an edge line for up to 100m to
enter or leave a road, turn at an intersection, to stop (if permitted), or to enter a special purpose/emergency lane)
Yellow edge lines
mean you can’t stop or park on that part of the road
Overhead lane control
help the flow of traffic by showing you the speed limits for each lane, which lanes you can drive in, and which ones are closed
Overhead lane controls change according to
