What does CPR 14 set out?
A
The court has a duty, under CPR 1.4, to further the overriding objective by actively managing cases. This means dealing with cases:
- justly and at proportionate cost;
- within a reasonable time; and
- by proportionate use of court and party resources
In doing so, the court must consider the complexity of the issues under consideration as well as the parties’ needs.
