Male hypoactive desire disorder
J, a 50 year old female with a turbulent marriage who recently went into menopause, finds that she has a decreased interest in sexual activity, decreased sexual thoughts and fantasies, and she exhibits no arousal due to internal and external sexual cues; neither does she respond to either genital or nongenital stimulation. This has been going on for 6 months. What disorder does she have?
Female sexual interest/arousal disorder
The disability to sustain an erection sufficient to maintain vaginal penetration, brought about mostly by feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and low self-esteem
Male erectile disorder
The inability to maintain sexual arousal within a committed, loving relationship, where men see women as “either saintly Madonnas or debased prostitutes”, and are only sexually aroused by the degraded partner
Madonna-Puttanna (Madonna-whore) complex
Criteria for male erectile disorder
- Marked difficulty in obtaining an erection either during or until completion of sexual activity
- Marked decreased erectile rigidity
- Not due to an underlying mental disorder or substance/medication
A disorder characterised by the recurrent or persistent inhibition, delay, or absence of female orgasm after normal sexual excitement phase, either in masturbation or coitus

Fantasies or sexual urges to dress in opposite gender clothing as a means of arousal and as adjunct to masturbation and coitus
Transvestic fetishism
Characterised by a man rubbing his pants against the body parts of a fully-clothed woman, usually occurring in public places and targeting isolated and passive persons
Frotteurism
Recurrent sexual fantasies, urges, or behaviours in which the psychological or physical suffering of the victim is sexually exciting to the person
Sexual sadism
Preoccupation with sexual urges or fantasies involving the act of being humiliated, beaten, bound, or otherwise made to suffer
Sexual masochism
Obsession with obtaining sexual gratification from a cadaver
