Exhibitionistic Disorder

A

Recurrent and intense sexual arousal from the exposure of one’s genitals to an unsuspecting person (6+ months)

Q

Transvestic Disorder

A

(1) If an individual also reports sexual arousal to the
fabrics, materials, or garments he is wearing, he is diagnosed with transvestic disorder with fetishism.

(2) If thoughts of himself sexually arouse the individual as a female, he is diagnosed with transvestic disorder with autogynephilia (i.e., a male’s paraphilic tendency to be sexually aroused by the thought or image of himself as a woman).

The transvestic disorder diagnosis does not apply to all individuals who cross-dress, even if their cross-dressing is a habitual behaviour; as with the other paraphilias, distress must be present for diagnosis
