-Made in the ovaries, adrenal glands, and fat cells.
-Levels are higher in those reproductive age
-promotes growth of the endometrium
-helps prevent bone loss
-helps maintain good cholesterol levels
Estrogen (MALE)
Male
-made as a by-product of the testosterone (small amounts)
-when fat cells increase, more testosterone is converted into estrogen
-too much can cause fatigue, loss of muscle tone, increased risk of heart disease. and more fat in the breast area
Testosterone (FEMALE)
Female
-made in the ovaries and adrenal glands
-helps promote muscleskeletal tone and strength and raise energy levels.
-if levels are too high, it can lead to acne, facial hair, polysytic ovaries and aggression.

Male
-produced in the testicles and in the adrenal gland
-helps to build muscle tone, increase energy, and aids in sperm reproduction
-levels decline with age and high levels of stress
Progesterone (FEMALE)
Female
-produced in the ovaries through ovulation
-helps the body use fat for energy, prevents bloating, calms the body, promotes restful sleep, and protects against breast and uterine cancer
-prevents PMS, irregular cycles, and hot flashes
Progesterone (MALE)
Male
-produced in the testicles and in the adrenal glands
helps to calm the body, promotes restful sleep, helps the body use fat for energy, prevents fat in the breast area, and protects against prostate enlargement
-energy and strength are improved w/ the right levels
