What is Gender Identity?
Gender Identity is how you, in your head, think about yourself. It’s the chemistry that composes you (e.g hormonal levels) and how you interpret what that means.

What is Gender Expression?
Gender Expression is how you demonstrate your gender (based on traditional gender roles) through the ways you act, dress, behave, and interact.

What is Biological Sex?
Biological Sex refers to the objectively measurable organs, hormone and chromosomes. Female = vagina, ovaries, XX chromosomes; Male = penis, testes, XY chromosomes; Intersex = a combination of two

What is Sexual Orientation?
Sexual Orientation is who you are physically, spiritually, and emotionally attracted to, based on their sex/gender in relation to your own.
-Heterosexual - Bisexual - Homosexual - etc
What is Cisgender?
Cisgender describes a person whose gender identity matches their sex assigned at birth. The word cisgender is the antonym of transgender.
Male –> Man
Female –> Woman
What is Binary in Gender classification?
Gender binary is the classification of gender into two distinct, opposite forms of masculine and feminine, whether by social system or cultural belief. (Man or Woman) (Cisgender)
What is Non-Binary in Gender classification?
Non-binary or genderqueer is an umbrella term for gender identities that are neither male nor female—identities that are outside the gender binary. (Genderqueer, Transgender, Gender neutral, Two-spirit and etc.)
What is Gender Roles?
A gender role, also known as a sex role, is a social role encompassing a range of behaviors and attitudes that are generally considered acceptable, appropriate, or desirable for a person based on that person’s biological or perceived sex.
