1. Tension-Building (abuser) - argumentative, swearing, yelling, criticism.
2. The Explosion (violence) - highly likely or violence occurs (physical, sexual, threats, or verbal abuse.
3. Sorry stage (abuser seeks peace) - abuser feels sorry for the explosion, and acts apologetic and loving.
