Explain family and sexual violence.
According to Family Protection Act 2013 FSV is any conduct that is violent, threatening, coercive or controlling behavior that occurs between people in the family, domestic or intimate relationship or former intimate relationship that causes the person experiencing the behavior to feel fear.
What are the types of violence used in FSV?
- Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Psychological / Emotional abuse

- Economical / Financial abuse
Who are the victims of family and sexual violence?
- Women
- Children
- Elderly
- Men
- Disabled person
- LGTBs
What effect does family & sexual violence have on the victims/family/community?
They encounter loss of control, a sense of shame, embarrassment, anxiety, depression, fear or hostility.
Why do you think we need to stop family and sexual violence?
To stop escalation of violence.
