Q

What are the two types of nephrons?

A
Cortical Nephron (70-80%)
- Loop of Henle is short (cortex)

Juxtamedullary Nephron (much fewer)

  • Glomerulus sits just above medullary boundry.
  • Loop of henle very long, penetrates deep down into medulla.
