Drool
To drop saliva from one’s mouth uncontrollably

A column of air moving rapidly round and round in a cylindrical shape

Spread over a wide area, or between a large number of people
Furtive
Suggestive of guilty nervousness (adj)

Strong and solidly built (of an object)
Stocky
Strong and solidly built (of a person)
Biddable
Describes someone who is happy to accept and follow instructions
Debatable
open for discussion / arguable (adj)
Forage
To search widely for food (often used for searching for food in the wild)
Forewarn
To inform someone of possible danger
Obligation
An act or course of action to which a person is morally or legally bound
Agitate
To make someone troubled or nervous
To disturb briskly (e.g. agitate a fizzy drinks bottle by shaking it)
Wean
To be strongly influenced by something from an early age (e.g. I was weaned on an unhealthy diet of crisps and chocolate)
Weal (wheal)
A red, swollen mark left on skin by a blow or pressure
Deed
An action that is performed intentionally or consciously
A legal document that is signed and delivered

Unpleasantly damp and sticky/slimy to touch

Tie (an animal) with a rope/chain to restrict its movement

To provoke someone into becoming annoyed

To move someone to a lower position or rank (opposite of promote)

A long queue of stationary or slow traffic, behind a busy junction or obstruction in the road
Nonsensical
Nonsense (ridiculously impractical / making no sense)
Functional
Designed to be practical and useful
Pompous
Overly grand or self-important (adj)
Eminent
(A person) famous and respected within a particular subject area
Menial
Not requiring much skill, or not seen as having much importance (adj) e.g. a menial job
Celestial
Relating to the sky or outer space (adj) e.g. celestial bodies include stars and planets
Terminal
Situated at the end of something (e.g. terminal exams at the end of a school year)
(of a disease) predicted to lead to death
