Governance What is it
-corp gov refers to the rules, plicies and processes by which businesses are operated regulated and controlled
-important in the context of SS since the strategy of the org forms a foundation for how that org is governed and managed
-Governance needs to be able to evaluate direct and monitor the the strategy, policies and plans
-Standard of corp governance of IT is ISO/IEC 38500
(basis of governance is fair and transpartent–nothing untoward

Governance Framework
-Establish repsonsibilities
-strategy to set and meet the orgs objectives
-acquire for valid reasons
-ensure performance when required
-ensure confirmance with the rules
ensure respect for human factors
-eacher of these domains will have high level policies tyhat form part of the framework…
What is IT Governance?
IT and other BU’s share the same objective and corp identity and are required to follow the same govenrance rules
- does not exist as a separate area
- is usuallthe responsibility of CIO or Senior IT mgr
