• King Nabonidus of Babylon, rebuilt old temples and tried to connect with the kings that ruled before him
• Maya Architecture, A new temple would be built on top of old structures, and the old structures would be filled in to prevent collapse. This preserved artefacts
• The Aztecs, claimed the city of Teotihuacan and said their ancestors built it. This occurred 1500 years after the fall of Teotihuacan.
