Sepsis age for adult patient

Answer 1

14 and older.

Question 2

Pt has an identified or suspected source of infection and at least ONE of the following:

SBP < 100 and/or MAP <65 or
ETCO2 < 30 or
Two or more of the following:
Temp > 100.4F or < 96.8F
HR over 90bpm
Respirations over 20/min
AMS from baseline
New onset O2 dependence to maintain 90% SpO2.

Question 3

Sepsis Treatment

Answer 3

NS fluid bolus of 1000mL

Monitor Cardiac rhythm, capno, vital signs.

Notify ER of “Sepsis Alert” ASAP

Question 4

Sepsis treatment if not hypotension not responsive to fluid
