Senosrs And Signal Processinf Flashcards
What is a strain gauge
A strain gauge who’s resistance changes when it’s length changes . The resistance increases or decreases as the tension or the compression is applied
If there’s tension on the strain pattern, what happens to resistance
If there’s compression on the strain pattern, what happens
Tension: area narrows so resistance increases
Compression: area thickens, resistance decreases
What is thevenin’s equivalent circuit theorem
Equivalent circuit composed of one voltage source and one resistor can represent two points in a circuit.
What do optical encoders measure
Optical encoders measure the angular position of the rotating axis. There are two types:
- incremental rotary encoders: the measure, went does not provide an angle directly but provides only the angle increment
- absolute rotary encoder: the measurement provides the angle directly
What does AD converter do
Transforms analogue voltage into digital binary signals, and the digital signal transfers into a microcontroller
What does a micro controller include
Includes several types of memory: flash, EEP-ROM, and SRAM where user made program will be stored in non-volatile flash memory.
