Systems thinking
Considers the inter-relationship between the parts of a whole system
- Each employee understands how their role can contribute, also affect parts of the organisation > Positive culture for change
Shared vision
An aspirational description of what an organisation and its members aim to achieve
- Employees are motivated, increasing individual efforts to help achieve the business’ vision
Team Learning
Collective learning that occurs when teams share their experiences, insights, skills, and knowledge to improve practices
- Managers providing employees to work as a team building principles of personal mastery + shared vision
Personal mastery
Discipline of personal growth and learning, aligned with one’s values and purpose
- Higher levels of this are more likely to take initiative and have more responsibility for their work.
Mental models
Existing assumptions + generalisations must be challenged so that learning and transformation can occur in an organisation
- Encourage employees to be more open to change
