everybody has their part to play in society. if not everyone does their part, it can be dangerous so do your part you dunces or else society fails
ship analogy
people shift to changes in society just as a ship changes in the wind. people conform to the shifting society, in stead of keeping their course strait and getting there faster
zig-zag analogy
people are all over the place with changes in society, just as a ship in the wind. at first it seems bad that you move all over the place, but eventually it will straiten itself out and youll get there, where youre supposed to go anyway
people who changed society with their character
christ, caesar, luther, fox, wesley, clarkson, antony. they all did what they thought was right, not what was popular
the drunken sot analogy
once your mind wakes up to reason, you can understand better. it doesnt vary between classes, a drunk is the same as a duke

people are complacent with their thology, they dont want to learn more
wave analogy
society moving forward is just an allusion. it may look different and change but its people never change like but people never change, like a wave they are just one glob always stuck together
